The European Community of New Gastronomy (ECNG) is organizing the 1st European Congress on Tourism and Gastronomy in Madrid, under the motto:
“Gastronomy: the new engine of tourism”
This congress was created with the aim of highlighting the strategic role that gastronomy plays in tourism development, not only as a complement to the traveler's experience, but also as the primary reason for travel.

Gastronomy has ceased to be a basic necessity and has become a cultural experience, capable of conveying a destination's identity through flavors, techniques, local products, and traditions. This event seeks to reflect on its value as a tool for promotion, sustainability, innovation, and economic growth in the current European tourism context.
Throughout the day, topics such as:
Sustainable and quality tourism
European gastronomic routes
Preservation of cultural heritage
New technologies and tourist experiences
Gastronomic innovation as a driver of transformation
